Sasol Bursary Description
The Sasol Bursary programmes target the youth of South Africa with the understanding that they are important when it comes to transformation of the economy.
Sasol bursary falls into two categories which are undergraduate and postgraduate bursary programme. Applicants for the bursary must indicate which programme they are opting for. Please also take note of the closing date for 2023 applications. This is one of top engineering bursaries in South Africa
How Much Is Sasol Bursary Allowance?
Undergratuates:
- The bursary pays for university registration fees, tuition fees and examination fees
- Accommodation – an amount matching the average rate for accommodation in a single room at a University residence
- Meals – estimated to cover what it costs to have 3 meals a day as worked out by the institution
- R12 000 per year for prescribed books and allowance
Postgraduates:
- Monthy stipend catering for registration fees, tuition, research cost, accommodation and expenses related to your studies.
- No additional cost will be paid by Sasol for postgraduate studies
Which Courses Does Sasol Bursary Fund?
The bursary focuses on engineering studies for both undergraduates and postgraduates students. There are two bursary options available to applicants who need financial support to complete their studies.
Undergraduates Bursary
- Bachelor Engineering/Bachelor Science in Chemical Engineering (Current 3rd year for 4th year studies in 2023)
- Bachelor Engineering/Bachelor Science in Electronic Engineering (Current 2nd year for 3rd year studies in 2023 & Current 3rd year for 4th year studies in 2023)
- Bachelor Engineering/Bachelor Science in Mining Engineering (Current 1st year for 2nd year studies in 2023)
Postgraduate Bursary
- Sasol postgraduate bursaries are awarded towards M.Sc., M.Eng. and PhD. studies in Engineering
