ITHUBA Bursary Description

The ITHUBA Bursary Programme invites applicants from previously disadvantaged backrounds to apply. The objective is to increase skills in Information Technology and Commerce which are in high demand in South Africa.

There are more other study fields that are covered by the bursary. These include Accounting, Management Accounting & Finance and Marketing. A complete list of careers covered by ITHUba bursary is provided below.

What Does ITHUBA Bursary Cover?

ITHUBA will cover the cost towards the following:

  • tuition,
  • accommodation,
  • textbooks,
  • laptops and
  • stipend

Documents Needed

To help ITHUBA assess your application you need to attach the following documents on your application:

  • your South African ID, along with copies of their legal guardians’ ID (certified copies)
  • proof of legal guardian’s income (not in excess of R350,000.00 per annum),
  • your latest academic results (certified copies)
  • a provisional letter of admission from a South African tertiary institution,
  • a provisional letter of admission from a South African tertiary institution’s residency or private accommodation,
  • a motivational letter motivating why the ITHUBA Bursary Programme should be awarded to you and how you plan to contribute to your community’s upliftment.
