Impala Platinum bursary gets awarded to applicants who meet the criteria and submit their application before the closing date. Assistance is in financial form and is awarded to students who are able to demonstrate their commitment to hard work.
Applications must reach Impala Platinum before or on 31 March 2023 for them to be considered. Late applications do not get entertained. This bursary caters for accounting and engineering students pursuing their tertiary education within the borders of South Africa.

- Chemical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering (heavy current)
- Extractive Metallurgy
- Geology (Mining and Exploration)
- Human Resources Management
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mining Engineering
- Survey (Mining)
How Do I Get An Impala Platinum Bursary?
You must meet the following eligibility criteria in order for your application to be considered:
- Applicants must be a SA citizen
- Applicants must be in possession of Matric and received a University exemption
- Applicants must be studying or intend on studying full-time within one of the fields listed above, in 2022
- Applicants must have obtained a minimum result of 60% (“C” symbol/ level 5) for English in Matric
- Applicants for the Impala Platinum bursary must have achieved a minimum result of 60% (“C” symbol/ level 5) for Science Matric
- Applicants must have obtained a minimum result of 60% (“C” symbol/ level 5) for Mathematics in Matric
- Applicants with disabilities are welcome to apply
Impala Bursary Allowance
Student who are successful to receive this bursary will have the following expenses paid for by Impala:
- registration fees
- tuition fees
- accommodation in residence
- computer allowance (from 2nd year only)
- cash allowance
