The African Rainbow Minerals (ARM) bursary is open to applications from students who wish to pursue undergraduates studies in field set out by the company. The bursary is open only to South African students who are enrolled or intend enrolling is a recognised institution of higher learning in South Africa.
About The Bursar – African Rainbow Minerals
The ARM is a mining company founded by Mr Patrice Motsepe in year 2003. ARM is based in South Africa and has interests in a wide range of mines, including platinum and platinum group metals, iron, coal, copper, and gold. Its headquarters is based in Sandton, Johannesburg.
The number of people employed by the ARM including contractors is 24016 and continues to grow.
ARM Bursary Fields of Study
In order for your bursary application to be considered you must be studying towards the following fields of study:
- Chemical Engineering
- Geology
- Accounting
- Law Studies
What Does African Rainbow Minerals Bursary Cover?
The financial assistance covers the registration fees, tution fees, meals, accommodation, prescribed books and data cost. The bursary gets renewal annually upon submission of latest academic transcripts.
Bursary Application Eligibility
To be considered for the ARM Gold bursary, applicants must meet the following application criteria:
- You must be a South African
- Completed Matric/Grade12
- You must be enrolled in a University or University of Technology recognized by the Department of Higher Education
- Demonstrate strong academic performance
